"New Guard" "Old Guard"? That is just a bunch of bull people like to make up to define divisions within the Deaf community. There isn't an old or new guard, I learned sign language later in life (Junior HS) and I went to Gallaudet and I work in an environment where I always use my voice and never use any interpreters so under your definitions I am considered new guard.. If that is true then let me just say that this new guard stuff is non existant. <BR/><BR/>Jane is a bad leader. I have worked with her and she is a great person but her leadership especially the past week and a half have been extremely neglient towards all constituents within the Gallaudet body. She is on her way out and your theories are just silly.
